SEYCHELLES : COMPLETION OF UTC 3 & 4 FOR NATIONAL TRAINERS

The Colombo Plan in collaboration with the Agency for Prevention of Drug Abuse and Rehabilitation (APDAR) conducted the second cycle of UTC Basic Level training in the Seychelles form 25 February to 04 March 2020.

This training covered UTC 3 (Common co-occurring mental and medical disorders) and UTC 4 (Basic counselling skills for addiction professionals). 20 participants involved in treatment of persons with substance use disorders, including psychiatrist nurses, pharmacists, nurses, social workers and educational psychologists.  It was delivered by Dr. Lahija Hamunjela (Namibia) and Ms. Yvonne Olando (Kenya).
